Margaret describes her approach as follows:
” … expresses her creativity by working in a large range of media – from oil painting on canvas to mixed-media works on paper, printmaking and silk painting- all of which influence each other and help to maintain a freshness and integrity.
“Her works are recognizable as expressions of her passion for vibrant colour, pattern, texture, strong form and the figure. Margaret’s compositions, commonly lyrical, often reveal a story and recent works are strongly inspired by views of the local Yarra Valley landscape.”
Margaret was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and moved to Melbourne in 1985. She has lived in the Yarra Valley since 2004.
She holds a number of tertiary qualifications in art, including a Bachelor of Fine Arts – University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
