Warratina Lavender Farm is one of our favourite venues for painting. With beautiful gardens, interesting buildings and stunning views of the ranges of the Yarra Valley, there a plenty of subjects for artists. Shelter is available if it is raining.

While morning tea, coffee and food are available in the cafe, you are also welcome to BYO lunch.

Meeting November 2014

Date – Sunday 2 November 2014
Time – 1:30pm to 4:00 pm
Demonstration – This month’s demonstration will be given by John Thomas, a local artist from Healesville. John will be showing some of his favourite oil painting techniques.

John is a member of the Yarra Valley Open Studios network and exhibits extensively at Di King Studios in Healesville.

As part of his demonstration, John will also share some of his thoughts on painting creatively.

John will also judge the competition, so if you would like a constructive commentary on your paintings, make sure you are there and enter one of your works in the competition.

Entry Fees – Members – $6 Visitors – $7 (First meeting free)

New members are very welcome.

A wide range of paintings by members of the Mount Evelyn and Yarra Valley Arts Society will be on display. All works will be available for purchase at very modest prices during the event. A selection of unique greeting cards and craft items will also be available.

The paintings exhibited will include works in various mediums and styles – traditional and contemporary – and some of the artists will be in attendance at various stages during the week to answer your questions.

There’ll also be an opportunity to cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award.
