November 2015 Paintout

Date – Wednesday 25 November, 2015.
Venue – Mont de Lancy – 71 Wellington Road, Wandin North.

Time – 10:30am

Mont de Lancy is a property set in the beautiful Yarra Valley and offers a wide variety of subjects for the artist. The property includes an historic homestead built by Henry Sebire in the early 1880’s using bricks he made on site. The Sebires were a pioneering family, Henry having migrated to Australia in 1849. The property is rich in the history of the Yarra Valley, with the gardens that surround the homestead, and dating from the 1890s, adding to the attraction of this beautiful venue.

The on-site restaurant is not open on Wednesdays, so make sure you BYO food and drinks. Tea and coffee will be available.

Meeting November 2015

Venue – Coldstream Community Centre, Kelso Street, Coldstream – Melways Map 281 B10

Demonstration – The demonstration this month will be given by Alex Holzer, who will demonstrate a variety of Hydrocryl acrylic paints. He will be supported in the demonstration by one of our own experienced members, Pamela Gordon.

Alex is a manager at Hydrocryl Pty. Ltd., which markets a wide range of professional quality acrylic paints. The paints are environmentally friendly and non-toxic.

This demonstration will be of interest to both beginners and experienced artists wanting to improve their acrylic painting techniques.

Demonstration – The guest speaker this month will be Pam Vickers, who will talk about her recent overseas trip to the England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Switzerland and Germany.

Pam is an experienced photographer, who uses many of her photos as subjects for her paintings. She will focus on a small selection of photos that will be of particular interest to artists.

This demonstration will be of interest to both beginners and experienced artists wanting to explore new and interesting subjects for their paintings.
